The Pakistan Coast Guards on Friday seized 21,000 bottles of liquor and 850 beer cans worth over Rs 6.7 million during an operation near Pasni, a subdivision of Gwadar District in Balochistan.
According to officials of the force
, the Coast Guards DG Brigadier Sajid Sikandar Ranjha received an intelligence report about
carriages for contraband. Consequently, teams were dispatched to specific routes where they discovered a sto
ckpile of liquor in the Gorani area of Pasni. However
, the smugglers had managed to escape. Moreover, officials claim that
the liquor was intended to be smuggled to the main towns and cities of Pakistan.
