The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that the promotion of quality education is imperative for sustained progress and
development.The Governor, who was invited as the chief guest at the Convocation of the University of Malakand at its premises on Monday, was reported as stating:
8220;To secure a respectable place for our beloved country amongst the ranks of
developed countries of the world, we have to concentrate on promotion of quality education”.He said that in order for Pakistan to
develop, we need to ensure 100
percent education in the society. Moreover, he added that there is need to promote research activities in the institutions of higher learning.”We need to raise the capability of our universities in Malakand Division to a level which may attract foreign students to join them”, the Governor said.Amongst those present on the occasion were Vice C

and masters while 50 achieved gold medals for their extraordinary performance.
